The Secret World Inside You
American Museum of Natural History, 2016
This exhibition showcases the hidden world of microbes and how they affect our world, both inside and outside of our bodies. Reproduction, digestion, our immune systems and the food we rely upon are all dependent on the complex ecosystem of microbes in and around us, and visitors can learn here about how and why that is.

Dealing with a topic that is both invisible and potentially sensitive meant that the graphics had to rely on strong visuals that reach the visitor with a dash of charm and humor. Iconic international-style figures were utilized to illustrate the subjects throughout, placed within a system of cutouts backed by lush electron micrograph imagery.
