Creatures of Light
American Museum of Natural History, 2012
Creatures of Light: Nature's Bioluminescence showcases the species living in land, air and sea that produce a dazzling array of natural light.

Graphics for this show were all backlit or edge-lit so as to glow in the dark environment and to provide a sense of mystery throughout. Color palettes were inspired by the scope of green, blue and red light found in nature, and graphic elements like engraved artwork, delicate vector illustrations and spotlighting effects were utilized.

Illustrations created for use throughout the show, from left: glowworm, Motyxia millipede, pacific hatchetfish, Systellaspis shrimp, dinoflagellate, siphonophore, anglerfish, stoplight loosejaw, benttooth bristlemouth
